Former Gomoa East Aspirant Commends ADB Leadership for Supporting Micro Enterprises

Dr. Emmanuel Appoh Mensah, a former Parliamentary Aspirant for the Gomoa East Constituency, has lauded the new leadership of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) for their renewed commitment to supporting micro enterprises across the country.

According to Dr. Appoh Mensah, the bank's focus on micro, small, and medium-sized businesses signals a progressive shift toward empowering grassroots entrepreneurs and revitalizing Ghana’s economy from the bottom up. He emphasized that micro enterprises are one of the most crucial engines for economic growth and employment in both rural and urban communities.

“The new leadership of ADB is doing something exceptional by shifting attention to micro enterprises. These businesses may seem small, but their impact is massive. They provide jobs, stimulate innovation, and serve as the foundation of our local economies,” he said in an interview.

Dr. Appoh Mensah further outlined several major benefits that micro enterprises bring to national development:Job Creation, Poverty Reduction , Inclusive Economic Participation, Support for Local Economies, Innovation and Flexibility.

Dr. Appoh Mensah concluded by urging the ADB leadership to maintain consistency in their support and to develop financial literacy programs and flexible loan schemes tailored for micro entrepreneurs. He also encouraged government agencies and private institutions to complement ADB’s efforts by investing in infrastructure, training, and policies that promote small business development.

“The future of Ghana’s economy lies in the strength of our small businesses. With the right support systems in place, they can transform lives and communities across the country,” he added.
